For more than 20 years, the association MAC2000 : Manifestation d’Art Contemporain (contemporary art event) has stood up for today’s creation, by organizing each year in Paris, an original event : MACparis (former MAC2005, 06, 07...).

Since 2005, Hervé Bourdin, an artist and administrator of the Regional Contemporary Art Fund of Paris and its suburbs, is the chairman of the association. He has gathered a small team, each with complementary skills, who work for a greater acknowledgement of the event and the artists it stands up for.

MACparis, which gathers 130 personal exhibitions of emergent and well-known artists, is a place of authentic exchanges, a unique occasion to meet artists personally. This convivial event matches up artists with art lovers and experts of the contemporary art world with the only goal of scouting out and promoting today’s new talents.

Each and every painter, photograph, sculptor, installation creator or filmmaker is selected by a committee, among the 1 100 spontaneous applications received each year. He or she is chosen for the quality of their work, the relevance, the sensibility, the originality and the commitment of their approach.
